Learned about JEE concepts, EJBs, Design Patterns, the Vaadin framework as well as Web Services. Took part in ongoing in-house projects for Hellenic Telecommunications Organization S.A. (OTE) and deployed the administration panel of a lightweight access control Android application.

Assisted the brigade of Provatonas. Among things, I was at a help desk for executives and units, a system and network administrator assistant as well as a technician. I set a whole new server system from scratch updating the deprecated one, monitored server logs and dealt with the maintenance, backup and retrieval of classified information. I also implemented a logon hours request application for brigade members to be granted access to the server from the chief of staff.

Extended the functionality of GeoWorld which is an online social network for geotechnical engineers and associated fields. I created a statistics page for the administration panel using Google Charts, deployed a distance based search for users to expand their network as well as an application where users give authorization to have their resume form filled out by Linkedin using their Javascript API.
